Loads of Fun

Another new release that I am excited to get my hands on is "Loads of fun", designed to go with the "Loads of Love" set with the Pick-Up truck.

Everyone that knows me knows that we do a LOT of camping.

Nature's Nest

This is one of the new stamp sets that I can not wait to own.
What a beautiful set.

I will definitely be using the turtle and the shell
to scrapbook the following pictures:

Happy Birthday 'Summer'!

Last night I made this card for my good friend's birthday (which is today!!!). I combined a few of her favorite things: Embossing, Kiwi Kiss, and Pacific Point. I love these colors too..so sad they are retiring this month! But look at the bright side... 6 more NEW colors are about to be released! VERY exciting.

Lately...

Recently we got together to make Father's Day cards...I just 'love' how they turned out:

Coming up in July is the release of the new 2009-2010 Catalog and Idea Book! I have an open house all planned out and will be advertising it very soon. Here are some the prizes I've put together already:

Scrapbooking Inspiration

This year we spent our Memorial Day Weekend camping at Mt. St. Helens. I hadn't been there in at least 15 years, so it was really neat to see once again. I can't believe how much it has changed! So much new growth... the last time I saw it, everything around the mountain was still massively 'grey' from the 1980 eruption. I took '90' pictures as we explored the area... With every picture I took I was thinking "Oooo, 'that' will make a neat scrapbook page!" Pictured here are two of my favorites that I hope to scrapbook soon. ~x~R~x~

May Challenge

We had our monthly 'Demonstrator Meeting' last night and were sent home with a neat challenge: To make a card using this flyer (pictured on the left) as inspiration. This is the card I came up with! (pictured on right) I had a lot of fun with this one...never would have I thought to use these colors together. My little yellow bird is cut out and mounted on dimensionals, and I used my paper piercer along the bottom edge of the card. Thanks for looking J:)

May Stamp Club

Here are two cards that my Stamp Club members get to make this month:
The flowers on the "Best Wishes" card are cut out and adhered with Dimensionals to give them a 3-D affect. Wouldn't it be cute to stick some coordinating buttons in the middle of each? The featured stamp set here is "Petal Pizzaz",

As soon as I got this set in my hands I visioned shades of Grey with hints of Black and White. There is a silver brad in the middle of the circle, which is held up on Dimensionals. The Basic
Grey Taffeta Ribbon was a perfect accent to tie the card together. What an elegant result!
The club meets on Wednesday the 13th of this month at 6pm. Non members are more than welcome to RSVP, a small supply fee applies.

Sunday, May 3, 2009

Today is such a quiet Sunday for me, so I thought I would just randomly share somthing. This is a 'challenge' that we had at our Demonstrator meeting last month. We were given some ribbon, some Designer Series Paper, & 3 Jumbo Eyelets. Before we left, we each used the 'Big Shot' to 'die-cut' 3 plain white gift boxes to use as drawers. We were sent home with the mission to put them together, decorate them, then share our creations with our fellow Demonstrators at the next meeting. Sooo...this is what I came up with. I think it turned out pretty cute :) And I actually do have brads in the drawer marked "brads". The cherry on top of the cupcake is actually a pink brad ;) (I am working on getting some buttons and eyelets in to the other 2 drawers...)

~WAY TO GO~
SEATTLE MARINERS!!!

Thursday, April 30, 2009

Page 2 of my Seattle Seminar Scrapbook. I love the color combo I came up with for this page . It's 'Not Quite Navy' accented with 'Tangerine Tango' and 'Whisper White'. (Aren't the color names fun!)
I used a flourish stamp from my "Priceless" set with a 'Versa Mark' pad to decorate the background. That gave the page a nice soft feeling. Subtle.

For Page 3 I used 'Bashful Blue', 'Chocolate Chip', and a little bit of 'Not Quite Navy.' The flower in the center is a die-cut with a 'Bashful Blue' brad in the middle of it. I thought that helped tie the whole page together nicely. The stamp next to the flower is from my "By Definition" set. It says "Inspire: To cause or create new ideas. Fresh thought, to influence. To motivate one to action." I sponged some 'Chocolate Chip' ink around the edges of it.

Feeling Springy

This Sunday evening we will get to make Spring themed cards that could also be used as Mother's Day cards. (The choice is yours!) Of course, I used the new set I got in Seattle when I attended the Regional Seminar on Friday. :)

A Day Stamping in Seattle

I 'just' got back from the 'Stampin' Up Seattle Regional Convention'. I have 1 word : WOW

It was so much more fun than I had even anticipated. Not only did I learn a lot of new things, but I met some amazing ladies... including Shelli Gardner, the founder of Stampin' Up! She started this amazing business 20 years ago. I got to talk with her 'one on one' a few times and believe me, she is every bit as wonderful as everyone says she is. She has the biggest heart! And it simply radiates from her.

What an incredible day

Left to right: My friend Sue, Stampin' Up's founder Shelli, a very happy ME (woohoo!), and my friend Amie.
